The first part deals with the life of Tobias, also called Tobit. Among other figures, Willy Wiedmann has portrayed the story of Sarah, whose seven grooms all died on their wed-ding nights because she was beloved by a demon. The book of Judith portrays the salva-tion of Israel through a widow of the same name, who beheads General Holofernes. The last book, as well, deals with Israel being saved by a woman during the Babylonian exile.
