They struck out and came to Mount Hor. There the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron: Aaron will be gathered to his ancestors, he shall not enter into the country which I have given to the Israelites, for you rebelled against my command at the quarrel water. However, take Aaron and his son Eleazar, lead them up Mount Hor and take the clothes from Aaron and dress his son Eleazar in them. Aaron shall be gathered to his ancestors and die there. Then Moses did what the Lord had commanded. Then he and Eleazar came down from the mountain. And the entire community saw that Aaron was dead. They mourned him for 30 days, all of the Israelites. He was 123 years old.
