Be merciful to me, Lord,
for my enemies threaten me day by day.
I trust in the Lord and do not fear.
They twist my words,
and conspire and lurk, watching my steps.
In your anger cast down the peoples, oh God.
Put my tears into your container.
Write them down in your book.
Then my enemies shall turn back,
for I praise God’s word.
I owe you fulfillment of my vows, and thank offerings,
that I may walk before God in the light of the living.
