The feast that Belshazzar (the son of Nebuchadnezzar) makes for 1000 of his lords. When he was drunk he commanded that the golden and silver vessels which Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple in Jerusalem be brought to him. And all drank from them even the wives and the concubines. And as they drank they praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of bronze, of iron, of wood, and of stone.
