And the Lord spoke to Moses and said:
When you enter the land of Canaan, the borders shall be thus: the southern tip of your land shall be the desert of Zin along the Edom. Your southern border shall begin on the Dead Sea which lies in the east. And it shall continue south of Scorpion Pass, continue on to Zin and continue south of Kadesh Barnea going to Hazar Addar and over to Azmon. From Azmon along the Wadi of Egypt ending at the Mediterranean Sea.
The border in the west shall be the great sea and its coastline.
The border in the north shall be this: you shall run a line from the great sea to Mount Hor from there to where it leads to Hamath so that the border continues to Zedad through to Ziphron. It shall end at Hazar Enan.
And you shall run the line of your eastern border from Hazar Enan to Shepham from there to Riblah east of Ain. From there it goes down and leads along the slopes east of the Sea of Galilee and then descends along the Jordan ending at the Dead Sea.
And Moses commanded: this is the land, that you shall divide amongst yourselves as the Lord commanded. Give it to the nine tribes and the half tribe. For the tribe of Reuben and Gad and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan across from Jericho.
