Moses and the elders commanded the people of Israel: keep the laws and commandments that I command today.
You are to erect large stones, coat them with chalk and write all the words of the laws on them. Atop Mount Ebal erect for the Lord an altar of stone which has never touched iron, unfinished and bring burnt offerings and eat there and be merry and write all the words of the commandments on the stones.
And Moses and the priests spoke to all of Israel: on this day you have become a people of the Lord, your God.
