If one finds a dead man in a field and it is not known who killed him one is to report it at the closest town that their elder may bring a young heifer who has not yet been yoked to the unworked and unplanted valley floor and there break its neck. The priests if the Levites are to step forward in order that they may be blessed. Then everyone in the town which is closest shall wash their hands over the heifer and say: our hands have not shed this blood and our eyes have seen nothing. Thus is bloodshed atoned for, by removing it from among you.

When in war you see a beautiful girl among the captives and you take her to be your wife and love her, then lead her to your house, let her hair be cut and put aside the clothes in which she was taken captive and cut her nails.
However, when you no longer pleased with her, let her go free, do not sell or enslave her.

If someone has two wives, one that he loves and one that he does not love, but where the latter has borne the first son he cannot make the son of the woman he loves his firstborn, but must recognize that of the woman he does not love and give him two portions of everything that is available.

If someone has an unruly and disobedient son who obeys neither the father nor the mother even using punishment one shall bring him to the elder before the gate of the cities and there stone him to death.

If one someone is hanged from a pole for their sins the corpse shall not hang overnight but he is to be buried the same day that the Lord, your God does not allow your country to become unclean.
