And they came to Ephesus where he preached in the synagogue to the Jews They asked him to stay longer. But Paul did not wish to, instead he left for Caesarea and went up to Jerusalem and afterwards he went off to Antioch. After a while he travel across Galatia and Phrygia and encouraged the disciples.
An Alexandrian Jew named Apollos now arrived in Ephesus who was eloquent in speech and in writing. He spoke of God and Jesus about whom he only knew through the baptism by John the Baptist.
He preached freely and in publicly in the synagogue. But Aquila and Priscilla heard him and invited him and taught him about Jesus and the teaching of God. Because Apollos wanted to travel to Achaia, the brothers encouraged him by writing to the people there, so that they accepted him, and he made many believers there, and afterwards he went to Corinth.
