But because Paul knew that one part of the high Council were Sadducees and another part were Pharisees, he called out in the council: I am the son of a Pharisee. Concerning the hope and resurrection of the dead I am being judged!
There was an argument in the High Council and the assembly was split. A great clamor. The Pharisees find no evil in Paul. But as the quarrel continued the commanding officer took Paul off to the barracks.
