Abner went out to Gibeon. Joab went out with David’s men. They met by the pool of Gibeon; and they camped, the one on the one side of the lake, and the other on the other side. “Let the young men play battle games.” Then twelve each came out of the ranks of Abner and Joab. They each caught each other by the head and thrust their swords in the other’s side and fell down together. The place was called Helkath Hazzurim.
