And when David went over to the other side, he stood on the top of the mountain afar off, so a great space was between them. Now see where the king’s spear is, and the jar of water!” Saul recognized David’s voice. “Yes, it is my voice.” David said, “Why does my king and his army pursue his servant? What have I done? What evil is in my hand? Has the king of Israel has come out to seek a flea?” And Saul said, “I have sinned. Return, my son David.” David answered, “Let someone come over and get your spear, which I have here, and see how much your life is worth to me. Saul said, “Be blessed, my son David, in all you do and accomplish.” And they both went their way.
