David was told, “The Philistines are fighting against Keilah, and are robbing the threshing floors.” So David inquired of the Lord. “Go forth, you will strike the Philistines and save Keilah.” But his army was afraid to go against the Philistines.
Then David inquired of the Lord again. The Lord said, “I will deliver the Philistines into your hand, David.” And David rescued the people of Keilah.
Abiathar, the son of Ahimelech who fled to David, also had the ephod with him.
Saul heard about it, so he thought David had fallen into his hands and he called all his men of war to go to Keilah.
David inquired of the Lord again,”Will he come? And destroy everything? Will the men of Keilah deliver me into Saul’s hand?” And the Lord answered all of these questions, “Yes!”
