The men of Kirjath Jearim came and took the ark of the Lord into Abinadab’s house on the hill and he consecrated his son to watch over the ark of the Lord. Twenty years passed. And Samuel said, “Put your foreign gods away and serve the Lord. Gather together in Mizpah and I will pray to the Lord for you.” And they repented and came.
