He who dwells in the secret place of the most high has a refuge and fortress in God. He will deliver us from snares of the hunters and from all pestilence. He will protect you under his wings. You should not be afraid of the night, for your faithfulness is a shield, oh God, and I will not fear the arrow, pestilence, or destruction. A thousand may fall at your side, but it will not come near you. No plague or evil shall come near your dwelling. He will put his angels in charge of you and guarding your paths. You will tread on the lion and the cobra, and trample the serpent. “Because he has set his love on me” I will let him see my loving kindness, God says.
