Do not keep silent, oh God, for behold, your enemies are stirred up. Those who hate you have lifted their heads, and are conspiring with cunning against your people. They conspire to destroy them – the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites, Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, the land of the Philistines and the people of Tyre, as well as Assyria and the sons of Lot.
Make them into dung for the pastures, like the nobles of Oreb and Zeeb, and of Zebah and Zalmunna. God, make them as chaff before the wind, and like flames before the fire which singe the mountains. Pursue them with your tempest, and terrify them with your storm. Fill their faces with confusion. Let them be shamed and perish for confusion. Let them know that you, Lord, are most high over all the earth.

How lovely are your dwellings. Lord, my soul longs for the temple of the Lord. My heart and my flesh cry out for it. Even the sparrow finds a home. And the swallow finds a nest for its young. Your altars, Lord of armies, God and king – blessed be those who dwell in your house and are always praising you. Blessed are those whose strength is in you, when they are passing through the valley of weeping. May it be a place of springs. The autumn rain covers it in blessings. They cried out with a growing strength. God, look down on us. One single day in the courts of your sanctuary is better than a thousand others. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. God is a sun and a shield, the Lord of armies, and blessed is the man who trusts in you.
