Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates to land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
Solomon’s provision for one day was 30 sacks of fine flour,
60 sacks of meal,
10 fat cattle,
20 cattle of the pasture,
100 sheep, in addition to deer, gazelles and roebucks,
and fattened fowl.
Judah and Israel lived safely in peace with all their neighbors. Solomon had 4,000 horses for his chariots and 12,000 horsemen.
Each of the twelve officers provided food for king in one of the twelve months of the year with everything that belonged to the king’s table. Also barley and straw for the horses, each according to his duty.
God gave Solomon very great wisdom and understanding and a spirit, even as the sand that is on the seashore. He had wisdom greater than all men. He was wiser than Ethan, Heman, Calcol and Darda. He spoke 3,000 proverbs and wrote 3,005 songs. He spoke of cedar trees even to the hyssop that grows out of the wall, of animals of the field, birds and fish. People came from all over to hear him ..
