After they separated, the Lord said to Abram, “Lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and
eastward and westward. I will give this land to you and to your offspring forever. Walk through the land.” Abram did this and lived by the oaks of Mamre in Hebron, and built an altar there to the Lord.
