On the seventh day, some went to gather. But there was nothing on the ground. “Why,” asked the Lord, “do you refuse to keep my commandments? The Lord gave you the Sabbath. On the sixth day, he gives you so much that it is enough for the Sabbath. Let no one leave his place.” So the people rested on the seventh day.
The House of Israel called it Manna, what came from heaven every day, other than the seventh day (after the evening dew). The manna was like white coriander seed and tasted like wafers with honey.
