Moses said, “They will not believe me in Egypt.” The Lord said to Moses, “What is that in your hand?” Moses said, “A rod.” The Lord said, “Throw it on the ground.” Moses did and the rod became a serpent. But Moses was not convinced that they would believe him. God said, “Put your hand inside your cloak.” Moses did and when he pulled it out, it was leprous. God said, “Put your hand inside your cloak again.” And when Moses took it out again, behold, it was again like his other flesh. God said, “If they do not believe you now, take water from the Nile and pour it on the dry land. The water will become blood.”
