Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen. By faith, we understand that the universe has been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which are visible.
By faith, Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain.
By faith, Enoch was taken away, so that he wouldn’t see death.
Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.
By faith, Abraham obeyed.
Sarah that she became pregnant when she was past age.
By faith, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, even concerning things to come.
By faith, Rahab the prostitute didn’t perish with those who were disobedient, having received the spies in peace.
Of whom the world was not worthy—wandering in deserts, mountains, caves, and the holes of the earth.
For whom the Lord loves, he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives.
All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord.
Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens.
Let’s have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe
For our God is a consuming fire.
