Each could hear in his own language: Parthians, Medes and Elamites, Mesopotamians, Judaeans and Cappadocians, people from Pontus, Asians, Phrygians and Pamphylians, Egyptians, Libyans, Cyrenians, Romans. Jews and proselytes were amazed about it all. Others however were full of scorn and said: they are filled with sweet wine.
