And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron: tell the children of Israel this: If a man has genital discharge, he shall be unclean. Every bed and everything on which he sits shall be unclean. Whoever touches his bed shall wash their clothes and themselves, and will be in unclean until the evening. Whoever touches him shall also do the same. If he casts his spittle upon the person who is clean, they shall wash their clothes and themselves with water. Even the saddle on which he rides shall be unclean. Even anyone who touches something under him shall be unclean. And whoever touches him before washing their hands shall be unclean until the evening. If he touches earthen pots, they must be destroyed. Any wooden pots shall be rinsed with water.
If one’s fluids are pure, he shall count seven days and then wash his clothes. On the eighth day he shall bring two turtledoves to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation and give it to the priest. That one should be for the sin offering and should be used to absolve the person suffering from effluence.
If a man is infertile he must wash himself and be unclean until the evening. And any garment or coat which is tainted with it must be washed.
When a woman has her blood flow, she will be unclean for seven days. Anywhere she lays will become unclean. Whoever touches her bed shall wash his clothes and must do this wherever she sits. Even touching something that has been in her living space shall make him unclean until the evening.
And if a man lays with her during the time when she has her flow, he shall be unclean for seven days and so shall his residence.
But if a woman has her flow for a long time, at an unusual time or similar, she will be unclean as long as she still has it, just like when she usually has it. Whoever touches her or her living space and does this where she sits, shall have to wash his clothes and wash himself with water; and he will be unclean until the evening.
However, if she is cleansed from the bloodflow, she shall count seven days after which she shall be clean.
On the eighth day she shall take two turtledoves or two other doves and bring them to the priest at the door of the tabernacle. One must be given to the priest for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to absolve the women before the Lord, because of her bloodflow that made her unclean. You shall seclude the children of Israel from her impurity, so that they shall not die from it; if you make my living space impure, which is among you all.
That is the law.
